A proud two-time GW alum (CCAS, BA ’04 and MA ’06), Amanda is an Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Creative Services.

In this role Amanda, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), oversees the Online Strategy team, providing leadership and strategic support to digital projects.  Amanda works in close collaboration with Online Strategy team members as well as stakeholders from throughout the university and colleagues in University Web Services. Working closely with the Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Creative Services, Amanda also supports university visual identity initiatives and the creation of marketing materials.

This is actually Amanda’s second tenure working for GW. She began her career as a Presidential Administrative Fellow, working as a project manager in the communications and creative services office. From there, Amanda moved on to work as an account manager at a B2B marketing agency and then as director of project management at a DC-based branding and strategic communications firm. Highlights of her career included managing the redesign of the U.S. Department of State's website and the first-ever iPad application for the Disney Store. Despite these interesting projects, she missed GW and the creative services team so much that she re-joined in December 2011 and has not looked back since.

When she is not working, Amanda is busy teaching her new son Henry the GW Fight Song. She figures you can never start too young in helping spread the Colonials pride.
